The main activities include:Support the delivery of electrical integration outputs, in compliance with the technical train specification, quality, cost, and delivery commitments.Take over work packages from a senior engineer related to electrical equipment in a metro-train.Ensure an efficient interface & alignment with internal / external stakeholders such as engineering and sourcing. Analyze and evaluate the customer specifications, standards, and regulations.Collaborate with other functional groups to manage requirements and provide inputs for interfacing with electrical and mechanical groups.Contribute to the train physical architecture in her/his geographic area considering the below listed areas of work.Layout of components for roof (e.g. HV-equipment), Underfloor & CAB E-equipment's.Installation studies and mounting definitions for electrical equipment including interface clarification.Electrical Cubicle designCable trays/Cable ducts design and its mounting definition.Routing of cables and wires with Creo 9.0 using Creo Cabling based on concept diagrams and schematics.Bundling/Segregation of cables and wires based on the EMC (Electromagnetic Compatibility) classification.Design of Jumper cables and Earthing /Grounding.Creation of 3D models and 2D drawings for parts, assemblies, and installations.Creation of bills of materialsDesired Skills: Mechanical Engineer with 3+ years of experience in Electrical Integration, Installation and Cabling in the Rolling Stock industry; Experience in the metro sector will be an added advantage. Knowledge in manufacturing processes and joining techniques (e.g., welding, screwing, riveting, bonding, surface treatment) and experience in component design concerning strength and weight. Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related field. Basic electrotechnical knowledge. Excellent Creo and Creo Cabling Skills. Knowhow and use of PDM link & SAP or willingness to quickly learn new tools. Experience in Harness Design will be added advantage. Experience in creation of test procedures and supervising of type tests for electrical components will be added advantage. Experience in creation of Maintenance and Operating Manuals will be added advantage. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective coordination and reporting.
