Key job responsibilitiesYou will play a key role in site due diligence for new and existing AWS regions. This will involve compiling and analyzing site specific information that may impact development costs or schedule, or present risks to the operation of data center infrastructure. This may include the assessment of (i) data center concept design, (ii) identifying design and construction timelines & permitting constraints, (iii) utility availability and reliability, (iv) natural hazard exposure, (v) environmental risks and (vi) legal risks You will be expected to engage, direct, and manage external consultants and experts to analyze risks and develop mitigations. You will identify, assess, and prioritizing risks and mitigations to continuously improve the resilience of AWS infrastructure. You will be expected to regularly engage with stakeholders, and report to AWS leaders, across the business to ensure risks are being appropriately identified, communicated, and managed. The right person for this role will have a strong track record of multidisciplinary infrastructure design and project management experience in APJC, the demonstrated ability to deliver multiple high priority projects simultaneously, the ability to drive alignment across teams with competing priorities, and be a strong advocate for risk management. DESCRIPTIONAmazon is expanding the Data Center management team in India. This position within Amazon Data Services India Private Limited (ADSIPL) requires broad Data Center knowledge with Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in as many specific fields as possible. The location for this job to be discussed, as there may be opportunities in several India locations. This position serves as the primary operational resource to support ADSIPL within its owned and operated Data Centers in India. This position will provide a central point of ownership and accountability for the overall ‘hands-on’ management of the Mechanical, Electrical (M&E) and across ADSIPL’s portfolio of Data Centers in India. This position will be responsible for the overall operation and maintenance of the critical infrastructure supporting IT operations within the Indian Data Center space. It will also include event management, incident management, problem management, change management, and cost/contract management. In addition, this will include the relationship management with the landlords, critical facility vendors, Data Center Construction team, Data Center Operations team, Technical Program Managers, Security team, and Logistics team in India.
