Reporting into the Regional Head of Legal and India MD, you and your team would be responsible for:Making sure that the company complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.Identifying legal risks and potential liabilities and developing strategies to mitigate them. Working with various departments to implement risk management protocols and best practices.Overseeing the policies and administration in protecting the company's intellectual property rights, including trademarks, copyrights, and patents. Handling intellectual property registration and enforcement.Managing and resolving legal disputes and litigation involving the company. Collaborating with internal and/or external legal counsel when necessary.Conducting internal training sessions to educate employees on legal and compliance issues and foster a culture of legal awareness within the organization.Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, including vendor contracts, client agreements, and employee contractsDeveloping and implementing the company's code of conduct and ethics policies to promote ethical behavior throughout the organization.Assisting with legal due diligence and documentation for mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions, if any.Legal Advisory to all the functionsIdeally you are a law graduate with 10-12 years of experience in both legal and compliance roles, with demonstrated corporate law and governance expertise, with Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills. You should also possess Problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to address complex legal issues and a high level of EQ and detailed analysis of legal and compliance issues. You should have demonstrated excellent level of leadership in your last role and should be ready to take on another leadership assignment.

Manage all aspects of intellectual property law, with a focus on content licensing, acquisition, and protection.Handle a wide range of IP-related agreements, including content licensing agreements, distribution agreements, and intellectual property assignment agreements.Conduct IP due diligence for content acquisitions and partnerships.Advise on content-related legal issues, including rights clearance, fair use, privacy, defamation, and compliance with industry standards and regulations.Work with cross-functional teams, including content acquisition, content operations, product development, and compliance, to ensure alignment with legal requirements and company policies.Work with external counsel and other legal service providers as necessary.You must be an LLB graduate with at-least eight years of experience having worked with a content/media platform.
