Senior Project Controller - Finance

Key Job Responsibilities:Overall responsibility for the correctness of project financials and revenue recognition in compliant with the company policiesPush proactive project controlling mainly working on baseline budgets, contract reviews, early warnings, and predictability of results.Take lead in driving project dashboard review process, challenge project team/head of departments on cost to complete estimates and risk assessment.Facilitate project reviews to assess project risks, identify opportunities and follow up on claims management.Drive and review overall financial performance of projects, project profitability and order book in the region.Provide quality assurance of the internal monthly reporting relating to projects.Provide support in reducing working capital and accelerate cash collections across the region.Participate with project team in all financial issues of the project from pre-contract award to contract closure.Provide direction & guidance to the team of project controller on various matters and develop their competencies without having any direct people management responsibilities.Take lead in implementation of global finance initiatives in region such as project management tool, activity level revenue recognition, data driven project controlling foundation etc.Supervise the process relating to maintenance of contract documents, agreement, variation orders.Lead initiatives for Automation and Digitization of Financial processes across the region.Guide project financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies & procedures.Provide enhanced business advisory and performed business partnering role.Key requirements:Previous experience in a finance function and worked as a project controller in a consulting or engineering company.The role is dynamic considering the number of stakeholders involved in the day-to-day work, so the successful candidate should have an outgoing and proactive personality.Ability to challenge and guide project managers in financial controls.An intelligent and assertive person who has the confidence to challenge people while building relationships with staff at different organizational levels.Capability to work hands-on with high drive and think independently.Excellent English language skills both written and spokenQualification and Experience required:MBA / CA10 to 17 years of relevant experience in project controlling, financial controls, project reviews.Knowledge of project module of SAP/Oracle/Maconomy or other similar financial softwareMS Excel & Power point skills at Expert level, Knowledge of Power BI would be an added advantage.
