Your responsibilities will include database design, implementation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for both Oracle and SQL Server databases.Your Day:to:Day::Database Design and Implementation:stylelist:style:type:disc::Collaborate with application developers and system architects to design and implement efficient and scalable database solutions.:Create and maintain database schemas, tables, indexes, and relationships.:Database Maintenance and Optimization:stylelist:style:type:disc::Perform regular database maintenance tasks, including backups, restores, and integrity checks.:Monitor and optimize database performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.:Security and Access Management:stylelist:style:type:disc::Implement and maintain database security measures to safeguard sensitive data.:Manage user access and permissions, ensuring appropriate levels of access for different roles.:Troubleshooting and Issue Resolution:stylelist:style:type:disc::Respond to and resolve database:related incidents and issues promptly.:Conduct root cause analysis for recurring problems and implement preventive measures.:Performance Tuning:stylelist:style:type:disc::Analyze and optimize SQL queries for improved performance.:Implement best practices for database performance tuning and optimization.:Capacity Planning:stylelist:style:type:disc::Monitor database growth and plan for scalability.:Recommend hardware and software upgrades to support future database requirements.:Backup and Recovery:stylelist:style:type:disc::Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures.:Test and validate backup and recovery processes regularly.:Documentation:stylelist:style:type:disc::Document database configurations, processes, and procedures.:Keep documentation up:to:date and accessible for the IT team.:Collaboration:stylelist:style:type:disc::Work closely with cross:functional teams, including developers, network administrators, and system administrators.:Participate in daily stand:ups, sprint planning, and other Agile/Scrum activities.:Provide technical expertise and guidance on database:related matters.What You Bring to The Team::Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.:Proven experience of 4 to 6 years as a Database Administrator with expertise in both Oracle and SQL Server.:Strong knowledge of database architecture, design, and best practices.:Proficient in SQL query optimization and performance tuning.:Experience with database security and access management.:Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures.:Excellent problem:solving and troubleshooting skills.:Effective communication and collaboration skills.:Certifications in Oracle and SQL Server administration are a plus.
